Jane and Eric's Birthday Playdate

In an attempt to simplify life a little we decided to have a small family birthday party for Jane in Topeka rather than a big friend party in Olathe. We still wanted to celebrate with our closest friends though so we decided to have a joint birthday playdate with Eric. He turned 2 the month before and had a family birthday as well. It was a perfect way to celebrate!

For the celebration we went to DeAnna Rose. We had a membership last year but we decided not to get one this year so this was our first time there this season. They have free admission after 2 pm so it worked out really well.
I love it when little kids hold hands.
It was a little warm that day so we were happy to go indoors for a little video about cows and milk.

Yee-haw!
It was nice that Kevin was able to take the afternoon off to join us.

Once Meg and Margot arrived we went outside for cupcakes and gifts.

Happy 2nd Birthday Eric!

Happy 3rd Birthday Jane!

After playing outside for a bit we went back into the farm to see a few more animals.

A little mist to cool off.

All Anna and Jane wanted to do was feed goats and they were thrilled when we finally got to feed them.

Our attempt at a photo with all the kids wasn't exactly successful but I love it nonetheless.

On the way to the exit the girls wanted in the wagon. Then Eric wanted a ride too so we plopped him in the middle. Anna cracked me up declaring "we're a 3-pack!".

It was a fantastic afternoon and we're so thankful for such wonderful friends.
