August fun

I thought I'd wrap up August by going through random pictures to show you what we've been up to this month.

Anna loves it outside so sometimes we go out on the deck while Jane is sleeping to get a little energy out. Anna loves her chalk and especially loves having me write "Daddy, Jane, and Mommy" over and over again on the deck.

Jane likes to hang out in the pack n play where she is safe from Anna.

It works great until Anna wants to get in with her. Anna sure loves her little sister.

Somebody's hair is getting pretty long and it looks pretty crazy after waking up.

Anna has been very into coloring and painting lately.

A pretty good watercolor.

Kevin had to travel to Boston for a couple days so Gampa, Gama, Uncle Thomas, and Adell came to visit one evening.
Gampa reading to his girls.
It was so nice of them to come up and keep us company for the evening. Anna had so much fun playing with Adell!
The girls were a little crazy all evening and I'm so glad they had a few hours to play together.

One weekend Kevin's parents came in to take us to dinner and see the girls.
Snuggles!
Anna loves touching and giving kisses to her sister. Over the last couple of weeks Jane has really begun to respond back. She'll smile back at her and it is so sweet.

During their visit, Brian and Moria gave us the idea to put a tree swing up. Kevin didn't waste much time and we now have a swing in our backyard! We'd like to get a playset at some point but this will allow us to hold off a little longer! She loves it!

Anna showing Jane pictures of different animals.

It was a crazy busy month for us and it's looking like September is going to be just as crazy if not more. We started the month off with a fun trip to the Kansas City Zoo. Stay tuned for the next post!
